Coalition members travelled to Washington D.C on November 15th to advocate for national permanent standard time legislation in Congress. The day began at the Rayburn House Office Building as the Coaltion hosted a congressional briefing where experts presented medical and scientific evidence on the detrimental consequences of the biannual time change and need for permanent standard time. View the entire briefing in its entirety here.
Following the briefing, the Coalition traversed the hill, meeting with members of Congress and their staff. Conversations throughout the day conveyed that support for ending the time change is popular in DC, and the arguments for permanent standard time were convincing to many. The Coalition looks forward to continuing conversations with congress and building momentum for permanent standard time legislation.
